Quality Japanese Metal Bands I STRONGLY recommend you to know!!!(By Japanese)
Hi! (sorry for my bad English)
Actually, this is my first article in English. I've been learning English for years, but it's extremely difficult for Japanese to master it. If there are any mistakes, please let me know about it (I'm waiting for your comment(^_^)
OK
I'm a metalhead, listening to Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Pantera, and so much more. I can't list the whole because that is not the purpose. I just want you to know quality Japanese Metal Bands you probably don't know, and even nor Japanese.
I've almost never seen them in the Western media, so I hope someday these metal bands are featured.
I love Loudwire I love Loudwire
Volcano
Probably, you guys don't know Volcano. Actually, I didn't know about them until a few months ago. I happened to watch their guitarist's video and I was blown away. Here's a song from their first album.
Volcano [Violent] - Kill All of Me
This is the song I listened to their songs for the first time. I ashamed of myself for not knowing them even I'm a Japanese.
Although songs in their first album "Violent" are all masterpieces for me, this one is my favorite.
The riff is so cool.....
Gotsu-Totsu-Kotsu
The guitarist is top-notch. 兀突骨(Gotsu-Totsu-Kotsu) is classified as Death Thrash Metal, they are basically a super technical band.
兀突骨 Gotsu-Totsu-Kotsu 「争乱ノ死地ヘ」【Music Video】
Yeah, he is the guitar teacher in Music Institute Japan. His shred is one of the fastest ones I've ever heard. Here's his interviewed joke video.
His name is 円城寺慶一(Keiichi Enjoji), and called Joe-G.
His twitter is also full of his shreds.
FACT
They had broken up......when I knew that news, I also broke up.....
In my opinion, their drummer is one of the best metal drummers in Japan. FACT's music style is so unique that probably they're not classified as "metal". in Japan. As I mentioned before, they broke up in 2015 and separated into 2 new bands. The one is Shadows and the other is Joy Opposites. But I prefer the FACT more.....so sad....
Loudness
Loudness is the most famous metal band in Japan. Their guitarist, Akira Takasaki is one of the best Japanese guitarists and no one complained about that opinion in Japan.
Little known fact, Dave Mustaine is a huge fan of him.
Crazy Nights is the opening song from their masterpiece "Thunder in the East".
The next song is called "Like Hell". That riff !!!!
And here's the video for those who want to enjoy his guitar. He covered Deep Purple's "Burn". (this is not a Loudness video)
It took me hours to write this...THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING THIS!!!
